What India will do with Rs 20,000 crore loan from BHEL
Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has said that the government will make a Rs 20 lakh crore loan to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in a “big way” in the next few days.
Jaitley also said that he would be in India next week for a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Finance to discuss the loan.
The Rs 20.7 lakh crore package is the largest from any central bank to any central government.
It comes as the government is seeking to ease liquidity pressures, particularly in rural areas, and curb corruption.
