Google India: ‘We will take action’ on Bollywood stars and their content in search

News in Hindi for Google India (India), the official search engine, said that “Bollywood stars” in the Indian market are “a threat to Google’s ecosystem and our users”.

Google India also said that the Bollywood industry is not only a problem for Google but “may also pose a threat to the Google ecosystem and users”.

“Our teams will work with our partners in the field to take action to tackle this issue,” it said.

Google has also warned Indian authorities about “indecent content” which it said it will “take action” against.

“We will not allow Indian authorities to impose a blanket ban on Indian content or individuals in India.

Our team will continue to work with Indian authorities in order to address this issue, and we will take further action to ensure a fair, fair and lawful internet,” it added.

Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan and actor-comedian Kapil Dev have been among those banned in the country.
