How to get more customers in the Nordstrom store
Nordstroms is in talks with its online platform to offer promotions to help boost sales in its flagship stores, a new report says.
The company is “actively exploring ways to deliver additional value” through social media and other channels, the Wall Street Journal reports.
A spokesman for Nordstrom said the company is committed to promoting its products and is committed “to expanding its digital footprint” in the next year.
The news comes after an aggressive promotional push by the online retailer, which has been criticized for its lackluster online store offerings and low-quality merchandise.
Nordstrom has struggled to make money since its 2011 acquisition of the upscale department store chain Sears Holdings.
It is now valued at $2.3 billion.
