The study, conducted by a group of experts from marketing research firm Datalogic, found that shampoo and scalp care products like conditioners can be an effective marketing tool for hair growth.

The findings from the study, titled “How to Grow Your Hair in 5 Easy Steps,” were published Thursday by the New York Times.

“Shampoo and scalp conditioners have long been used to help reduce frizz and give hair its natural glow,” the authors wrote.

“Shampoo products can also help promote hair growth.”

The authors found that “frizz reduction products have been shown to increase hair growth in studies of women who suffer from hair loss, while shampoo products can be used to promote hair shedding and even promote hair loss.”

The study was published in the Journal of Marketing Research.
